Fatal Car Accident: 43rd Victim In Burlington County This Year

Nov. 11 marked a sad day for Burlington County residents in terms of traffic fatalities. On that day, an 86-year-old woman was killed in a car accident, and according to New Jersey State Police, her death marks the 43rd motor vehicle fatality in Burlington County this year.

The woman was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling along Burrs Road and Route 541. The accident happened just before 2 p.m. The vehicle in which she was riding attempted to enter Route 541 when it collided with another vehicle headed northbound on the county road. Two people in the other car, along with the driver of the car the deceased was in, were taken to Virtua Memorial with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

Police closed the highway for about two hours to conduct an investigation, which at the time of reports was ongoing.

When fatal car accidents occur, family members of the deceased understandably want to know exactly what happened. However, getting the facts of a matter is not always easy.
