Famous Baseball Player sues doctors and hospital


Recently, New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against the team's doctor and against a New York hospital, claiming that they did not properly diagnose a left hip injury, causing him to have to undergo surgery. The medical malpractice suit further alleges that as a result of the misdiagnosis, Rodriguez was cleared to play, causing him to make the injury even worse. The lawsuit comes after a public feud between Rodriguez and the New York Yankees regarding alleged injuries he received during the season.

NJ county freeholder sued for wrongful death in car crash

Recently, the family of a 24-year-old man from Tom's River, New Jersey, who was killed when his motorcycle collided with an Ocean County freeholder's car, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the freeholder. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges that the freeholder was negligently driving when his car struck the motorcycle.

Proposed New Jersey bills toughen penalties for drunk driving


State laws are implemented to protect the general public, while also defining the process offenders will go through. Changes in policies could mean harsher penalties, especially in New Jersey where they are considering the laws surrounding drunk driving and the resulting criminal and civil liabilities.
