Fatal car accident: 43rd victim in Burlington County this year

Nov. 11 marked a sad day for Burlington County residents in terms of traffic fatalities. On that day, an 86-year-old woman was killed in a car accident, and according to New Jersey State Police, her death marks the 43rd motor vehicle fatality in Burlington County this year.

Driver in deadly car accident now facing vehicular homicide

It is always tragic when a person loses his or her life as the result of an accident, but when the person is young, and the accident is said to have been caused by another person's drunk driving, the tragedy becomes even more poignant. No New Jersey resident should have to lose a loved one in such a way, and no one should have to suffer serious personal injury because of a senseless car accident. With these problems in mind, Mount Laurel residents may recall one horrible automobile accident that occurred last year and resulted in one death and two injuries.

Burlington woman severely injured in car accident

New Jersey residents may recall that back in July, a Burlington, New Jersey, woman suffered serious injuries in a car accident that occurred in Pennsylvania. According to reports, the 22-year-old driver of a dump truck smashed into a Toyota Scion operated by the Burlington woman. The man fled the scene of the accident, leaving a truck full of beer bottles and the victim fighting for her life. He turned himself in to authorities two days later and has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault by vehicle and fleeing the scene of an accident with injuries. The case will soon go to trial. Both of the man's charges are third-degree felonies carrying prison sentences of up to seven years upon conviction.

Tragic car accident leaves passenger dead

There is a reason why authorities treat driving while under the influence so seriously: it frequently leads to injuries and even death. That was the case with a recent tragic car accident that claimed the life of a passenger. The Burlington County driver is now facing multiple charges.

Family files wrongful death suit against College of New Jersey

It is hard to imagine much worse for a parent than receiving a call that their child has gone missing. Whether in Burlington County or anyplace in New Jersey, the immediate fear strikes the core of anyone's being. The first hope is that there was no personal injury, but when the agonizing hours turn into days, even the strongest hope can start to dwindle. And as a tragedy plays out, parents understandably want answers and fervently wish to hold the responsible parties accountable.
